Three Deeds That Continue After Death

إِذَا مَاتَ الإِنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ: إِلَّا مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ، أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُو لَهُ

Transliteration

Idha matal-insanu inqata'a 'anhu 'amaluhu illa min thalatha: illa min sadaqatin jariyah, aw 'ilmin yuntafa'u bih, aw waladin salihin yad'u lah

Translation

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RA): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariyah), beneficial knowledge that others act upon, or a righteous child who prays for him."
