Leave What Makes You Doubt for What Does Not
Sunan al-Tirmidhi · 2518·Narrated by Al-Hasan ibn Ali (RA)
دَعْ مَا يَرِيبُكَ إِلَى مَا لاَ يَرِيبُكَ فَإِنَّ الصِّدْقَ طُمَأْنِينَةٌ وَإِنَّ الْكَذِبَ رِيبَةٌ
Transliteration
Da' ma yaribuka ila ma la yaribuk, fa-innas-sidqa tuma'ninah, wa innal-kadhiba ribah
Translation
Narrated Al-Hasan ibn Ali (RA): I memorised from the Messenger of Allah (SAW): "Leave what makes you doubt for what does not make you doubt. Truthfulness brings tranquillity, while falsehood brings doubt."
