The Halal Is Clear, the Haram Is Clear — Guard Your Heart

✓ Sahih
Sahih al-Bukhari · 52·Narrated by An-Nu'man ibn Bashir (RA)

Translation

Narrated An-Nu'man ibn Bashir (RA): I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say, "The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and between them are doubtful matters which many people do not know. Whoever avoids the doubtful matters protects his religion and his honour, and whoever falls into the doubtful matters is like a shepherd grazing near a private pasture, about to enter it. Indeed every king has a private pasture, and the private pasture of Allah on His earth is what He has forbidden. Indeed, there is a piece of flesh in the body: if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Indeed, it is the heart."
