Allah Is More Merciful to His Servants Than a Mother to Her Child

✓ Sahih
Sahih al-Bukhari · 5999·Narrated by Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA)

Translation

Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab (RA): Some captives were brought to the Prophet (SAW), and among them was a woman searching; whenever she found a child among the captives, she held it to her chest and nursed it. The Prophet (SAW) said, "Do you think this woman would throw her child into the fire?" We said, "No, not if she is able not to." He said, "Allah is more merciful to His servants than this woman is to her child."
