Allah Has a Hundred Parts of Mercy — Only One Is in This World
إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ أَنْزَلَ مِنْهَا رَحْمَةً وَاحِدَةً بَيْنَ الْجِنِّ وَالإِنْسِ وَالْبَهَائِمِ وَالْهَوَامِّ فَبِهَا يَتَعَاطَفُونَ وَبِهَا يَتَرَاحَمُونَ وَبِهَا تَعْطِفُ الْوَحْشُ عَلَى وَلَدِهَا وَأَخَّرَ اللَّهُ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ رَحْمَةً يَرْحَمُ بِهَا عِبَادَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ
Transliteration
Inna lillāhi mi'ata raḥmah, anzala minhā raḥmatan wāḥidatan bayna-l-jinni wal-insi wal-bahā'imi wal-hawāmm, fabihā yatā'afawna wa bihā yatarāḥamūna wa bihā ta'ṭifu-l-waḥshu 'alā waladihā. Wa akhkhara-llāhu tis'an wa tis'īna raḥmatan yarḥamu bihā 'ibādahu yawmal-qiyāmah
Translation
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): I heard Allah's Messenger ﷺ saying, 'Allah has divided His mercy into one hundred parts. He kept ninety-nine parts with Him and sent one part to the earth. Through this one part, all of creation shows compassion to one another — so much so that an animal lifts its hoof over its young lest it should hurt it. On the Day of Resurrection, Allah will complete the full one hundred parts of mercy toward His servants.'
