Allah Is Pure and Accepts Only What Is Pure

Transliteration

Ayyuhan-nas, innallaha tayyibun la yaqbalu illa tayyiba, wa innallaha amaral-mu'minina bima amara bihil-mursalin, faqal: ya ayyuhar-rusulu kulu minat-tayyibati wa'malu saliha, inni bima ta'maluna 'alim. Wa qal: ya ayyuhal-ladhina amanu kulu min tayyibati ma razaqnakum. Thumma dhakarar-rajula yutilus-safara ash'atha aghbara yamuddu yadayhi ilas-sama': ya rabbi ya rabb, wa mat'amuhu haramun wa mashrabuhu haramun wa malbasuhu haramun wa ghudhiya bil-haram, fa-anna yustajabu lidhalik

Translation

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RA): The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "O people, Allah is pure and accepts only what is pure. Allah has commanded the believers with what He commanded the Messengers..." Then he mentioned a man who travels far, dishevelled and dusty, raising his hands to the sky: 'O Lord! O Lord!' — while his food is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, his clothing is unlawful and he has been nourished with the unlawful. "So how can he be answered?"
