When Trust Is Lost, Await the Hour
فَإِذَا ضُيِّعَتِ الأَمَانَةُ فَانْتَظِرِ السَّاعَةَ. قَالَ كَيْفَ إِضَاعَتُهَا قَالَ إِذَا وُسِّدَ الأَمْرُ إِلَى غَيْرِ أَهْلِهِ فَانْتَظِرِ السَّاعَةَ
Transliteration
Fa-idha dhuyyi'atil-amanatu fantaziris-sa'ah. Qala: kayfa ida'atuha? Qala: idha wussidal-amru ila ghayri ahlihi fantaziris-sa'ah
Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RA): A Bedouin asked the Prophet (SAW) when the Hour would be. The Prophet (SAW) said, "When trust is lost, then wait for the Hour." The Bedouin asked, "How will it be lost?" He said, "When authority is given to those who are not fit for it, then wait for the Hour."
