Every One of You Is a Shepherd
كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ الإِمَامُ رَاعٍ وَمَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ وَالرَّجُلُ رَاعٍ فِي أَهْلِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ وَالْمَرْأَةُ رَاعِيَةٌ فِي بَيْتِ زَوْجِهَا وَمَسْئُولَةٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهَا وَالْخَادِمُ رَاعٍ فِي مَالِ سَيِّدِهِ وَمَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ
Transliteration
Kullukum rā'in wa kullukum mas'ūlun 'an ra'iyyatih. Al-imāmu rā'in wa mas'ūlun 'an ra'iyyatih. War-rajulu rā'in fī ahlihi wa huwa mas'ūlun 'an ra'iyyatih. Wal-mar'atu rā'iyatun fī bayti zawjihā wa mas'ūlatun 'an ra'iyyatihā. Wal-khādimu rā'in fī māli sayyidihi wa mas'ūlun 'an ra'iyyatih
Translation
Narrated Abdullah ibn Umar (RA): Allah's Messenger ﷺ said, 'Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock. The leader of people is a shepherd and is responsible for his subjects. A man is the shepherd of his family and is responsible for them. A woman is the shepherd of her husband's home and of his children and is responsible for them. The servant is a shepherd of his master's property and is responsible for it. Every one of you is a shepherd and is responsible for his flock.'
