The Strong Believer Is Better and More Beloved to Allah

Sahih
Sahih Muslim · 2664·Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (RA)

Translation

Abu Huraira (RA) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'A strong believer is better and dearer to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone. Cherish what gives you benefit, seek help from Allah and do not give up. If any adversity comes to you, do not say: "If only I had done such-and-such." Rather say: "Allah decreed it and what He wills He does," for saying "if only" opens the door to the work of Shaytan.'

Practice This Today

When things do not go your way today, replace 'if only' with 'Allah decreed it.' Then refocus on what you can still do.
