The Greater the Trial, the Greater the Reward
إِنَّ عِظَمَ الْجَزَاءِ مَعَ عِظَمِ الْبَلَاءِ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَحَبَّ قَوْمًا ابْتَلَاهُمْ فَمَنْ رَضِيَ فَلَهُ الرِّضَا وَمَنْ سَخِطَ فَلَهُ السَّخَطُ
Transliteration
Inna 'azhamal-jaza'i ma'a 'azhamil-bala', wa innallaha idha ahabba qawman abtalahum, faman radiya falahur-rida wa man sakhita falahus-sakhat
Translation
Narrated Anas ibn Malik (RA): The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, 'The greatness of the reward is commensurate with the greatness of the trial. When Allah loves a people He tests them. Whoever accepts it with patience will have contentment, and whoever reacts with resentment will have resentment.'
