The Religion Is Ease — Be Moderate and Rejoice

✓ Sahih
Sahih al-Bukhari · 39·Narrated by Abu Hurayrah (RA)

Transliteration

Innad-dina yusr, wa lan yushaddad-dina ahadun illa ghalabah, fasaddidu wa qaribu wa abshiru, wasta'inu bil-ghadwati war-rawhati wa shay'in minad-duljah

Translation

Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RA): The Prophet (SAW) said, "The religion is easy, and no one overburdens himself in religion except that it overwhelms him. So aim for what is right, come as close to it as you can, and receive glad tidings; and seek help [in worship] in the morning, in the afternoon and in part of the night."

Practice This Today

If you feel overwhelmed in worship, simplify: choose small, consistent deeds at morning, evening and night rather than burning out.
