The Prophet Served His Family at Home
كَانَ يَكُونُ فِي مِهْنَةِ أَهْلِهِ ـ تَعْنِي خِدْمَةَ أَهْلِهِ ـ فَإِذَا حَضَرَتِ الصَّلاَةُ خَرَجَ إِلَى الصَّلاَةِ
Transliteration
Kana yakunu fi mihnati ahlihi — ta'ni khidmata ahlihi — fa-idha hadaratis-salatu kharaja ilas-salah
Translation
Narrated Al-Aswad: I asked Aisha (RA), "What did the Prophet (SAW) use to do in his house?" She replied, "He used to keep himself busy serving his family, and when it was time for prayer he would go out to pray."
