Wretched Is the Slave of Money
تَعِسَ عَبْدُ الدِّينَارِ وَالدِّرْهَمِ وَالْقَطِيفَةِ وَالْخَمِيصَةِ، إِنْ أُعْطِيَ رَضِيَ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يُعْطَ لَمْ يَرْضَ
Transliteration
Ta'isa 'abdud-dinari wad-dirhami wal-qatifati wal-khamisah, in u'tiya radiya wa in lam yu'ta lam yarda
Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RA): The Prophet (SAW) said, "Wretched is the slave of the dinar, the dirham, fine velvet and silk garments: if he is given, he is pleased, and if he is not given, he is displeased."
