The Most Severely Tested Are the Prophets, Then the Next Best

✓ Hasan
Sunan al-Tirmidhi · 2398·Narrated by Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (RA)

Translation

Narrated Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas (RA): A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah, which people are tested most severely?" He said, "The Prophets, then those most like them, then those most like them. A man is tested according to his religion: if his religion is firm, his trials are more severe, and if there is weakness in his religion, he is tested according to it. Trials will continue to afflict the servant until they leave him walking on the earth without any sin."

Practice This Today

If you are going through a heavy trial, remember: the best of people were tested most. Let it purify you, not push you away from Allah.
