Knowledge Is Taken Away by the Death of the Scholars

✓ Sahih
Sahih al-Bukhari · 100·Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr (RA)

Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amr ibn al-As (RA): I heard the Messenger of Allah (SAW) say, "Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people, but He takes it away by taking the lives of the scholars, until when no scholar remains, people take ignorant leaders who, when asked, give rulings without knowledge — so they go astray and lead others astray."
