Honouring Those Who Carry the Quran
إِنَّ مِنْ إِجْلَالِ اللَّهِ إِكْرَامَ ذِي الشَّيْبَةِ الْمُسْلِمِ وَحَامِلِ الْقُرْآنِ غَيْرِ الْغَالِي فِيهِ وَالْجَافِي عَنْهُ وَإِكْرَامَ ذِي السُّلْطَانِ الْمُقْسِطِ
Transliteration
Inna min ijlalillahi ikramu dhish-shaybatil-muslimi wa hamilil-Qur'ani ghayral-ghali fihi wal-jafi 'anhu wa ikramu dhis-sultanil-muqsit
Translation
Narrated Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (RA): The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, 'Indeed, from the exaltation due to Allah is honouring an aged Muslim, honouring the one who carries the Quran without going to extremes in it or abandoning it, and honouring a just ruler.'
