Every Child Is Born Upon the Fitrah
كُلُّ مَوْلُودٍ يُولَدُ عَلَى الْفِطْرَةِ، فَأَبَوَاهُ يُهَوِّدَانِهِ أَوْ يُنَصِّرَانِهِ أَوْ يُمَجِّسَانِهِ، كَمَثَلِ الْبَهِيمَةِ تُنْتَجُ الْبَهِيمَةَ، هَلْ تَرَى فِيهَا جَدْعَاءَ
Transliteration
Kullu mawludin yuladu 'alal-fitrah, fa-abawahu yuhawwidanihi aw yunassiranihi aw yumajjisanih
Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RA): The Prophet (SAW) said, "Every child is born upon the fitrah [natural disposition of Islam], then his parents make him a Jew, a Christian or a Magian — just as an animal gives birth to a perfect young one: do you see any part of it cut off?"
