Eat Together — the Blessing Is in the Company
اجْتَمِعُوا عَلَى طَعَامِكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ يُبَارَكْ لَكُمْ فِيهِ
Transliteration
Ijtami'u 'ala ta'amikum wadhkurusmallahi 'alayhi yubarak lakum fih
Translation
Narrated Wahshi ibn Harb (RA): The companions asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, we eat but are not satisfied.' He said, 'Perhaps you eat separately.' They said yes. He said, 'Gather together over your food, mention the name of Allah over it — it will be blessed for you.'
Practice This Today
