✓ Sahih
Sahih al-Bukhari · 1896·Narrated by Sahl ibn Sa'd (RA)

Translation

Narrated Sahl ibn Sa'd (RA): The Prophet (SAW) said, "There is a gate in Paradise called Ar-Rayyan, through which those who fast will enter on the Day of Resurrection, and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, 'Where are those who used to fast?' They will stand up, and none except them will enter through it. After they enter, the gate will be closed and nobody else will enter through it."

Practice This Today

Plan a voluntary fast this week — a Monday, Thursday or one of the white days. Aim to be among those called to Ar-Rayyan.
