Allah Has Prescribed Excellence in Everything
إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَتَبَ الإِحْسَانَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَىْءٍ فَإِذَا قَتَلْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الْقِتْلَةَ وَإِذَا ذَبَحْتُمْ فَأَحْسِنُوا الذَّبْحَ وَلْيُحِدَّ أَحَدُكُمْ شَفْرَتَهُ فَلْيُرِحْ ذَبِيحَتَهُ
Transliteration
Innallaha katabal-ihsana 'ala kulli shay', fa-idha qataltum fa-ahsinul-qitlah, wa idha dhabahtum fa-ahsinudh-dhabh, walyuhidda ahadukum shafratah, walyurih dhabihatah
Translation
Narrated Shaddad ibn Aws (RA): The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "Allah has prescribed excellence in everything. So when you kill, kill well; and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let each of you sharpen his blade and spare the animal suffering."
