Dua When Closing the Eyes of the Deceased

اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَهُ وَارْفَعْ دَرَجَتَهُ فِي الْمَهْدِيِّينَ وَاخْلُفْهُ فِي عَقِبِهِ فِي الْغَابِرِينَ وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلَهُ يَا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ وَأَفْسِحْ لَهُ فِي قَبْرِهِ وَنَوِّرْ لَهُ فِيهِ
Transliteration
Allahummaghfir lahu warfa' darajatahu fil-mahdiyyeen, wakhlufhu fi 'aqibihi fil-ghaabireen, waghfir lana wa lahu ya Rabbal-'alameen, wafshah lahu fi qabrihi wa nawwir lahu feeh
Translation
O Allah, forgive him and elevate his station among the guided. Grant him a successor among those he leaves behind. Forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. Expand his grave for him and illuminate it.
