When Allah Loves a Servant, He Calls Jibril
إِنَّ اللَّهَ إِذَا أَحَبَّ عَبْدًا دَعَا جِبْرِيلَ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أُحِبُّ فُلاَنًا فَأَحِبَّهُ - قَالَ - فَيُحِبُّهُ جِبْرِيلُ ثُمَّ يُنَادِي فِي السَّمَاءِ فَيَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُحِبُّ فُلاَنًا فَأَحِبُّوهُ. فَيُحِبُّهُ أَهْلُ السَّمَاءِ - قَالَ - ثُمَّ يُوضَعُ لَهُ الْقَبُولُ فِي الأَرْضِ
Transliteration
Innallaha idha ahabba 'abdan da'a Jibrila faqal: inni uhibbu fulanan fa-ahibbah, fayuhibbuhu Jibril, thumma yunadi fis-sama'i fayaqul: innallaha yuhibbu fulanan fa-ahibbuh, fayuhibbuhu ahlus-sama', thumma yuda'u lahul-qabulu fil-ard
Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (RA): The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "When Allah loves a servant, He calls Jibril and says, 'I love so-and-so, so love him.' So Jibril loves him. Then he calls out in the heaven, 'Allah loves so-and-so, so love him,' and the inhabitants of the heaven love him. Then acceptance is placed for him on the earth."
