Sahih
Sahih al-Bukhari · 2101·Narrated by Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (RA)

Transliteration

Mathalul-jalisis-salihi wal-jalisis-saw'i kamatali sahibil-miski wa kiril-haddad. Wa kirul-haddadi yuhriqubadanaka aw thawbaka aw tajidu minhu rihan khabithah

Translation

Narrated Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (RA): The Prophet (SAW) said, 'The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the perfume seller and the blacksmith's bellows. From the perfume seller you will either buy some or smell its fragrance. But the bellows will either burn your body or your clothes, or you will smell something bad.'
