The Most Beloved Deed to Allah Is Prayer Performed on Time

أَيُّ الْعَمَلِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللَّهِ قَالَ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى وَقْتِهَا قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ قَالَ بِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ قُلْتُ ثُمَّ أَيٌّ قَالَ الْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

Transliteration

Ayyul-'amali ahabbu ilallah? Qalas-salatu 'ala waqtiha. Qultu: thumma ayy? Qala: birrul-walidayn. Qultu: thumma ayy? Qala: al-jihadu fi sabilillah

Translation

Narrated Ibn Mas'ud (RA): I asked the Prophet (SAW), 'Which deed is most beloved to Allah?' He replied, 'Performing the prayer on time.' I asked, 'Then what?' He said, 'Being dutiful to parents.' I asked, 'Then what?' He said, 'Jihad in the path of Allah.'
