Woe to the One Who Lies to Make People Laugh
Sunan Abu Dawud · 4990·Narrated by Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah (RA)
وَيْلٌ لِلَّذِي يُحَدِّثُ فَيَكْذِبُ لِيُضْحِكَ بِهِ الْقَوْمَ وَيْلٌ لَهُ وَيْلٌ لَهُ
Transliteration
Waylun lilladhi yuhaddithu fayakdhibu liyudhika bihil-qawm, waylun lah, waylun lah
Translation
Narrated Mu'awiyah ibn Haydah (RA): The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said, "Woe to the one who speaks and lies to make people laugh. Woe to him! Woe to him!"
